15+ years in print & digital editorial 〰️

I tell compelling stories through words and photos + strategy and experience.

The best stories are told through hundreds of small but vital decisions: finding the most compelling angle, uncovering the detail everyone else overlooks, tightening a sentence until it sings, choosing the image that makes someone stop scrolling, or crafting the headline that convinces someone a story is worth their attention.

For more than 15 years, I've helped create, shape, and grow digital editorial content that reaches millions of readers. My career has spanned writing, editing, photography, content strategy, and creative direction, but the thread connecting it all is that I help good ideas become unforgettable stories.

As a House Tour Editor to now Real Home Director at Apartment Therapy, I've had the privilege of helping shape one of the internet's most recognizable home and design publication franchises. I've written and edited thousands of stories, photographed homes across the country, worked with and mentored writers and photographers around the world, developed editorial franchises, refined story concepts, and collaborated across editorial, photography, design, and social teams to create content that informs, inspires, and measurably performs.

I've helped define editorial strategy, identify stories audiences are hungry for, develop recurring content formats, refine visual storytelling, and pinpoint the details that determine whether a story quietly runs or truly connects with audiences. I believe the strongest content is equal parts journalism, psychology, design, curiosity, and most importantly, authenticity.

I also have extensive experience in print publications, both in writing and photographing, telling a complete visual story on creative subjects. Recently, I wrote a complete interior design book published through Penguin Random House, interviewing the creative subject, crafting and shaping the manuscript from its earliest drafts through publication. I refined structure, clarified instructional content, strengthened the author's voice, and transformed a collection of projects into a cohesive, engaging book.

Photography has always been an essential part of my work, too. Long before readers see the first sentence, they experience the story visually. I spent over eight years as an interior and architectural photographer, capturing real homes and professional projects, learning composition, light, color, texture, and emotion—and that visual perspective influences every editorial decision I make.

Whether I'm editing a manuscript, developing a content strategy, crafting a headline, photographing a home, or helping an author uncover the heart of their story, I'm driven by the same goal:

Tell stories that people remember.
